The latest issue of the UK’s Ebony magazine revealed that a new line of “toxic” makeup brushes have been added to the catalogue.
The new brushes are made with the ingredient panthenol acetate (which is often used in eye makeup brushes) and also contain nanoacetamide, a highly toxic and addictive ingredient found in eye cream and hair gel.
They’re only available from the Amazonian Beauty Supply store and will retail for £7.99 (about £5.50 US).
The product has not been tested for safety, and Ebony said it was only meant to be used by people who are already allergic to the ingredient.
“Our products are tested on the premises and all ingredients are safe and effective for all skin types,” the company said in a statement.
What do you think?
Does the addition of the toxic ingredients make sense?
Or do you just want to see what it looks like on your skin?
